The Nanotechnology Facility Project results from a partnership between the University of Aveiro and the Atlantic Beira Park Incubator. Thus, aiming to promote a new technology, new products and processes and strengthen the co-operation between the Scientific and Technological Sector and traditional industries, and so contributing to the cluster’s development and increased competitiveness in the field of materials and mechanical engineering.

This Facility constitutes an articulation platform of strategic thinking for local economy development and dynamization as well as Innovation and technology transfer at a regional level to traditional enterprises based on a common project, which intends to evolve to a much vaster concept of cohesion and competitiveness in the field of new technologies linked to materials and coverings.
